West Middlesex Family History Open Day

10.00 am - 4.00 pm
Sunday 26th September 2010

at
The White House Community Centre
45 The Avenue, Hampton, Middlesex TW12 3RN

Please mark your diaries! As usual we shall be expecting to welcome back friends from other family history societies, local history societies, local archives and museums, plus providers of research materials, books, postcards, etc. Our own library and other resources for research will be available, with help and advice for those researching their families in West Middlesex - or elsewhere! Details of those attending will be posted here as they are confirmed.

How to find the White House

From the M3
If approaching from the M3 Motorway, continue on the A316 Feeder Road until you reach the Junction with the A312 (Uxbridge Road) towards Hampton (from the slip road take the 4th turning, passing Sainsbury’s on your right). Signposted A 312 Kingston & The Hamptons. After about one and a half miles, turn right into Broad Lane and after a further half mile turn right again into The Avenue. Continue round the right hand curve and the White House is on the left.

From London
If approaching from London on the A316, (Richmond & Twickenham By-pass) at the first overhead section, take the slip road for the A312 (Uxbridge Road), second exit towards Kingston & The Hamptons and then follow the instructions in the previous section.

Parking
There is a car park at the front of the building and further car parking spaces in Tangley Park Road.

Public Transport
Buses numbered R70 and 111 pass the door.
The nearest railway station is Hampton (about 0.8 miles / 15 min walk from the White House). There is an hourly service from Waterloo on Sundays (destination: Shepperton via Richmond). From the station you can use the 111 bus (towards Heathrow, runs about every 12 min on Sundays). Alternatively, those who wish to walk should turn right (north) onto Percy Road, after 800m (0.5 miles) cross Broad Lane and continue northwards on The Avenue for another 500m until you reach the White House on the left.
