Parish Histories Project

Cover of Volume 1: Hampton

In response to suggestions made by our members we have begun to publish a series of articles in the Journal based on the history of the parishes in our area. Those that have already appeared are: Hampton (December 2004), Harlington (March 2005), Stanwell (June 2005), Harmondsworth (September 2005) and Hayes (March 2006). The intent is that each of these will be expanded into a booklet that will be made available for sale via our Society bookstall. The first two of these booklets, for Hampton and for Hayes, have already been published: see the Society Publications page for details.

If you have expertise on a particular parish and would like to contribute to the West Middlesex Parishes series, please email the or write to:

Mrs Bridget Purr 8 Sandleford Lane, Greenham, Thatcham, Berks RG19 8XW

Some guidance notes for aspiring authors are included here.
