FHF Really Useful Family History Show Early Bird tickets (1 June 2022)
Early Bird tickets are now available for the
FHF Really Useful Family History
Show, 11-12 November . The regular price of a ticket from 1st July will be £12.
For the rest of June tickets may be obtained for £9.
Private Beta for GRO's Online View Service (20 May 2022)
WMFHS members are invited to participate in this service which provides a jpeg image of a birth or
death registration record for just £2:50. Births are for 1837 to 1922, deaths are for 1837 to 1887.
You need to be registered for online ordering with the GRO which can be done using
this link,
and you need to complete a consent form, which is

and send it as an attachment to the following email account:

Google Maps for graves is announced (7 September 2021)
The Times gives a brief description of a project which will map and photograph
every gravestone in each of the C of E's 19,000 graveyards.

"Young genealogists from around the world have joined forces to launch a website
catering for the needs of researchers who were born between 1995 and 2010.
The Hidden Branch thehiddenbranch.com
includes a blog, episodes from a podcast and details of the founding members,
with online resources coming soon. The group describe themselves as 'the new generation of
genealogists who grew up in the digital age'. They can also be found on Facebook,
Instagram and Twitter".
Removal of human remains at St. Lawrence, Brentford (4 May 2021)
Orion Heritage Ltd has announced that human remains buried in the churchyard at St Lawrence,
Brentford, will be removed and re-interred at Brookwood Cemetery. As a result of this notice,
we have a
list of burials provided by
Orion Heritage. Any personal representatives of deceased persons may make their own arrangements for
removal and re-interment by contacting Robert Bourn at brentford@orionheritage.co.uk by 14 May 2021.
