The Parish Registers Project

About 20 years ago the Society was engaged in projects to transcribe baptisms, marriages and burials from parishes in our area. Some of these records have since been digitised by various organisations and are now available through Find My Past and/or Ancestry, but it is certain that some of these transcriptions are still not digitised. This project is to identify the undigitised transcriptions and to create the necessary digital records. The records will then be added to the Data Searches available to members on this website, and they will also be submitted to Find My Past where they can then be accessed by family history researchers worldwide.

The list of parish records to be examined are those currently held by various members of the Society - see the Parish Registers held by members page.

The first set of registers identified for digitising is All Saints at Isleworth, where we hold copy of some 17,000 baptism entries, of which only about 4,000 are currently searchable through Find My Past or Ancestry. Any volunteers looking for this sort of work should contact the Projects Co-ordinator.
