Parish Map

The part of Middlesex covered by the West Middlesex Family History Society is indicated by the map below. The areas in grey indicate neighbouring parishes in Buckinghamshire, Surrey and Middlesex that belong to other family history societies. The boundaries shown here relate to the late 1830s and are based on Historic Parishes of England and Wales: An Electronic Map of Boundaries before 1850 by R.J.P. Kain and R.R. Oliver (History Data Service, 2001).

For a much broader look at our parishes and anywhere in the UK this is a link to the English Jurisdictions 1851 set of maps. Using these maps you can see the parish boundaries in 1851, and/or the Civil Registration District boundares, the Poor Law boundaries, and much more, and you can overlay the Ordnance Survey map, so you can see exactly where the boundary lines fall.




Society news

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 21st February 2019 at St. John's Centre, Isleworth. Doors open at 7.15 pm. The focus of the meeting will be a talk by Alan Rice titled Cemeteries and the Burial of the Dead: a more than personal view.

Next Fair

The next fair we will be attending is Family Tree Live at Alexandra Palace on 26/27th April 2019.

Next Advice Session

Our next Advice Session will be held at Feltham Library on Saturday 16th February from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
